Features:
  • Power Input & Output: This highly compatible, high-performance power supply accepts 90-260V AC input, perfectly handling high total harmonic distortion (THD) dirty power from generators, and provides fast charging according to your specific needs, with a charging current that can be set from 2-100A.

A wall-mounting bracket is included in the package, allowing you to mount the charger on the wall. It also features four non-slip rubber feet on the bottom.
  • Smart Touchscreen Interface: The 3.5-inch color LCD screen features integrated backlighting, allowing for clear data display under any lighting conditions. Four control buttons facilitate easy parameter settings, and the device supports automatic charging start and stop based on battery voltage or SOC (State of Charge).
  • Smart Communication & Control: The charger can communicate with the battery to obtain the battery's SOC (State of Charge) data to guide its operation. It can also transmit start/stop signals to the generator via the RJ11 port.

have they "fully fixed" the generator input issue at higher power? The previous version (60A, still sold) was widely reviewed to handle ~all generators fine at 30A, but much above that only the cleanest would work - otherwise even ramping up the current slowly (the new 100a has soft-start but the 60a does not) the unit would throw an ("E11" iir) error and refuse to charge.
Also the 60a purportedly frequently required a power cycle to resume charging in some instances (eg full charge --> discharge --> fails to automatically start charging again if left plugged in)
the 60a if it worked to spec, even without soft start, is a great deal at <$200 street, but barely meeting half stated spec it's not.

I do believe the EG4 unit is higher quality. It's 2x the price (street price: eg4 I rarely see on sale more than 10%; even newly released the ecoworthy is nearly 50% off it's "msrp")
For my primary residence I have the eg4. For the family cabin's setup, I would like to save the money.
