California actually allows concealed carry of a FOLDING Knife of ANY SIZE, I live in California and carry the Espada XL lol And California also allows OPEN carry of any size Fixed blade, as long as it's on your WAIST. not your neck, not chest, not back, just waist. But no store will allow you entry with the open carry knife. Especially cinemas and Walmarts
Mi thought it could only be 2 inches or less blade length

The 2 inches applies to automatic opening ones like switch blades
I've tried looking up the laws online about this topic and it's so confusing. I'd just be happy to be able to carry a small knife for cutting little strings and rope. Just don't want to get in trouble for something so unnecessary. I have seen many "California legal" knives online but I'm not trying to spend over 30$ for something like this. Thank you for the info.

I used to work security and I have talked to many many police officers. They won't give 2 shxts about a pocket folding knife. I now work for government and see police and security guards all day long, i carry my blades clip on. No worries.

Many kitchen knives are nearly as easy to conceal as a switchblade and just as dangerous.
Only the law abiding care about weapon laws...all knife laws do is restrict the law abiding actually carrying for utility and/or protection.
