Normally I'd grill burgers on the grill side (and did that at first) but trial and error, this is how to make the best most flavorful burgers:
Turn temp on all the way; use griddle sides. While griddle heats up get your plate, condiments, and bun ready then patty up the hamburger and place on griddle... it'll sizzle and sear the outside without drying it out or making the exterior tough. Sprinkle salt/pepper, close griddle for a couple minutes, and your juicy flavorful burger is done!
Since I just make one at a time, I also grill the bun 🤤
Start to finish is under 10min and delicious burgers!
Warning: with multiple burgers keep an eye on grease tray because it fills quickly, especially if using 73/27%.
i keep a blue disposable shop rag under it; not noticeable and makes accidental overflows easier to clean up.
