There really aren't that many games that are game key cards or code in box and I'm pretty sure there aren't any Nintendo first party games that are. They might have updates or dlc you can download but the base game runs off the cart with no or minimal install.

Yeah it was an in store only deal and not all warehouses had them, it was also a couple of months ago like mid April. I think GameStop had them used online about a month ago for the same price but that's also no longer on sale. If you've gotta get it today, this is the best deal right now, if you wanna try and save $15 you could try and wait to see if it comes back somewhere for $30

Most of the Switch 2 games I see are game key card apart from Nintendo 1st party games and Cyberpunk 2077.

So far, Pokemon Pokopia is the only Nintendo IP game key card granted that's not traditional Pokemon.

That was like 3 months ago and it sold out in 2 days. I tried to get it but was too late. Costco said they won't be getting anymore at that price ever again.

Tempting but when the expansion is so pricey I am leery of buying base game. Sure hoping they will have a complete or package deal may be wishful thinking but if expansion is 30 then 75 to have current full version just is enough to make me wait and hope.

Stop spreading wrong information based on pre-release console rumors. Switch 2 Editions are the full game on card. The text at the bottom just means it includes both the Switch 1 game plus the upgrade pack on cart, and that it works on both Switch and Switch 2 as a result (so yes, those of you that are still on Switch 1, you can take advantage of this deal as well, and automatically upgrade when you do get a Switch 2). It also states that the upgrade pack is available separately so someone doesn't think they need to rebuy the whole game to upgrade.
All "Switch 2 Edition" games work like this. They're all Switch 1 games with the upgrade pack.
You either:
-Get Switch 2 Edition physical game - Includes Switch 1 game and upgrade on the card.
-Get Switch 1 physical game + download upgrade - Includes Switch 1 game on card + upgrade is DLC
-Get Switch 2 Edition digital - Downloads Switch 1 game and upgrade DLC.
There is no Switch 2 standalone game on these, just the upgrade add-on is bundled with the Switch 1 game when bought as a Switch 2 game.
