IMO Bllink cameras are only really useful in low activity locations as the battery will drain quickly otherwise. I find Blink cams particularly handy if you want to monitor infrequently visited areas or appliances like water heaters, sump pumps, cellars and crawlspaces.
As for Sync Module 2 compatibility; I've asked Alexa 5 times and she assures me that the latest 2k cam will work and record basic motion events with it (I have not confirmed this myself though). To get the AI features like person detection you do need a subscription however...
