oh it was shipped/sold by best buy when posted :/ looks like they ended that one then sadly.
It is GLORIOUS, but you really need a screen manager; I use DisplayFusion but any will probably work. I do architectural CAD work and can pull up full size (D/E) drawings and read them without zooming in. Actually, I can pull up two D size prints side by side, which was the critical use case. The 75" version I have makes the far corners not terribly useful as, at this size, a curve would be better. When using Google Earth (for vacation planning, for ex) it's like living in the future. If you do stuff like DAW, Video creation, Photoshop and like to have all your layers and palates visible and on the same screen, or edit at full resolution, this is pretty sweet.
The software simply isn't made for PCs. There is no autodetection of signal re-sync from the PC, so it has to be manually powered on if you let the PC sleep. The audio is terrible because the speakers are back firing; it's usable, but sounds muffles compared to good speakers or a soundbar. The dynamic contrast essentially doesn't work; I have to turn it off entirely. The combination of black background and white windows really throws the contrast algorithm. Most of this you can bypass in the settings.
Games are absolutely beautify but I always set it at 4k/120 because 8k, imho, buys me nothing of real use. I'd complain about frame rates at 8k (mine is 60Hz) but I only have a RTX4070TiS so it can't really push that many pixels anyway. I don't play competitive PvP so I can't talk to the lag/performance.
