Im a headphone fanatic, owned audeze lcd's, sennheiser hd 700, 800, 650, custom made IEMS and a handful of other really nice heaphones. I bought these for my son, just because they were cheap and had a good rep.
It was about 2 years after that I actually put them on, and I was blown away by how good they sound. Balanced, not lacking in details, a great sound. Probably the best value headphones available.

These are awesome headphones, sound quality blew me away the first time I used them. They also are pretty comfy and have a cool look to them. Build quality is generally good but the cables are a bit fragile, but then again, it's $30

These are awesome headphones, sound quality blew me away the first time I used them. They also are pretty comfy and have a cool look to them. Build quality is generally good but the cables are a bit fragile, but then again, it's $30

They used to have a lifetime warranty, did they end that? You have to pay to ship them back, but they'll send you a new pair, no issues. They replaced a pair of Porta Pros with cable issues for me years ago.

These are classic, built to last, comfortable, & has unbeatable sound for the price. Mine, >20 yrs old, look & function like new. The earpads (replacements are cheap & easily sourced) have been replaced twice. This design was so well thought out & successful, it hasn't been changed in decades.

These are great for those that wear glasses. I've taken advantage of the warranty (pay shipping) a couple of times in the many years I've had them.

Seriously! Downvoters have never been inside! I was genuinely excited to find them. Really brought out the best qualities of the 128kb mp3s they were selling for $3 each.

Requisite pro-Koss post. PortaPros are fantastic for the money, always in my commute backpack.

Too bad inflation pumped this price up, these semi-regularly would go on sale for $20-25.

Get few pairs of KTXPRO1 and put Yaxi pads instead. Porta Pro are annoying and catch hair all the time. KPH40 broke really fast and are not worth it.
