Ideally, try grabbing the Switch 1 version, even if you're a Switch 2 owner. The game is fully loaded on the cartridge (compared to the empty game key card situation on Switch 2, which is a download license redirect to the eShop).
Plus, Bandai Namco offers an official free Switch 2 upgrade pack, for owners of the Switch 1 game. https://en.bandainamcoent.eu/drag...data-patch

Cool trick, thanks. Considering all these game keycards are filling up the internal console 256gb space.

Anybody perusing this deal have the game already? I'm curious how it runs on the og Switch. I know they cut down on a lot of the effects and have completely redone maps to make it work. But hoping it's not a choppy mess while playing 😅
So got the Switch 1 version yesterday to play on Switch 2. Popped it in and updated right away. Graphically it looks fine to me but I'm not super picky. Performance wise it struggles at time in transitions, and fewer in gameplay but not completely gone.
Out of curiosity popped it in the Switch 1 and booted it up without updating. It looked quite a bit worse and struggled mightily with transitions and loads. Not the worst I've seen, still playable, but as someone who's not picky I would have hoped for more.
Updated and tried again on Switch 1. Much closer to the Switch 2. Not quite there graphically, but much better than without the update. The transitions improved but only by a bit. Gameplay seemed better as well but not quite Switch 2. If the Switch 1 game played on Switch 2 with update was 80%, I'd say the Switch 1 version with update is 60-70%, and the Switch 1 version without is like 40-50%.
I wonder if the Switch 2 download/GKC is equivacally marginally better than the Switch 1 cart on Switch 2 with update? There is no actual "Switch 2 edition" like No Man's Sky or RDR. The boost I noticed was marginal and I have no doubt it could run flawlessly if given the time and attention. As is, still a good port and I'll have plenty of fun with it provided the difficulty doesn't ramp suddenly like the Tenkaichi series before.
