This Sansui OLED stands out as a very cheap way to get OLED picture quality, especially for dark rooms, bedrooms, or other secondary setups. The panel gets strong contrast, good off angle viewing, and solid movie upscaling, and it can even work well as a PC display or gaming screen when the settings cooperate. The main drawbacks are the slow Google TV software, limited picture controls, and weaker brightness and HDR in well lit rooms. The heavy base is hidden in the box, and recent updates have improved some HDMI 120 hertz and HDR behavior, making it a more capable budget OLED than the price suggests.

  • Movie watchers in dark rooms want OLED contrast and strong upscaling, because the picture looks good for films and TV while brightness is better when the room is dim.

  • PC gamers using an NVIDIA GPU want a cheap 120Hz display, because G-Sync works and 120Hz input lag is low.

  • Kitchen or bedroom setups need a secondary TV, because off-angle viewing is improved and the set is bright enough in controlled light.

  • Tinkerers who want Android TV flexibility like sideloading apps, because Google TV-based software allows installing apps that locked-down TV systems do not.

  • People wanting a bright main TV in a sunlit living room, because brightness is low and HDR can look too dark.

  • Console gamers who need reliable 4K 120Hz HDR with full chroma, because HDMI 2.0 ports cap gaming at 60Hz and 4K 120Hz can be limited to YCbCr 4:2:0.

  • People who want a responsive built-in smart TV interface, because Google TV can be very slow and underpowered.

  • Viewers who need strong built-in audio or easy Atmos lip-sync, because the speakers are weak and Atmos can drift out of sync.
