Not really. I always had a pair or two, occasionally used at work, but never needed it for something residential. Even when swapping switches or fixtures, the right amount of wire is already stripped. These days I only use them for amateur radio.

Own or rent? If it's own then I'd say yes. I disagree with the other guy in that I've done plenty of 'basic' electrical work in my house and have had to strip wires on many occasions. I used to do it manually with a blade until I bought a decent pair of wire strippers and it's night and day. Plus it's not a wear and tear item or an item you'll accidently leave somewhere around the house and can't find again so you only need one pair and it will last you decades.

Agreed. Or I use some other tool to cut/strip.

Has prime day ever not been a bust? Always seems to be good deals on Amazon devices and pretty average everything else.

In case anyone is wondering, the difference between these and the standard $5-6 Chinese stripper/crimper you find at every hardware store is very real. The stripper holes are sharp and exactly the correct diameter. If you only strip Romex once every few years to install a light fixture, this doesn't really matter. If you ever work on electronics or electrical projects, this does matter and you'll enjoy having the Klein.
