I never like gloves with the hammer/impact protection. You give up way too much mobility. Don't see the use for these unless you risk smashing your fingers for a living.

You don't lose mobility with gloves like these. It's literally just a little thicker piece of rubber over the knuckles, it isn't like a solid carbon plate. It helps when you are doing something where you may scrape your knuckles like in an engine bay when freeing a rusted bolt for instance. At least that's been my experience.

I love these gloves. They're not leather (they don't claim to be) so they're surprisingly breathable and lightweight. But don't take that the wrong way, they're super durable, cushioned, and protective. I use them for car work and woodwork. I have tested the knuckle bash guard... I am glad it is there lol. Seriously for $15 they're a steal. I'd buy a backup set but I'm XL.

These are great if you are torquing in awkward positions or have your hands near cement or metal objects. Also great in landscaping when working with rocks.
