It's pretty sad that this is actually a really good deal right now, but the market supports overpriced hardware, so the price gouging will continue until morale improves.

I have an old Acer v15(?) for backup to my old HP Omen (windows 11).. Just read that MS support for Windows 10 on my Acer has quietly been extended.
I'd love to have a new HTPC like this but not a good time for big ticket electronics.

Just checked... Windows 10 support quietly extended until Oct 2027, as users reject Windows 11
However Putin should avoid...windows.

I got a Nitro V a few years ago, still runs games great but they killed the NitroSense app so now I have no way to adjust my fan control while gaming and it runs hot and the block on the power cable gets hot too

reinstall the app from their website or uninstall and find a previous version of it online

You can't, it's not on the website anymore and I can't find an old version anywhere else that works. I tried using the new Predator Sense software but its not compatible

Yes despite the whining this is a good deal. The main negative is that ACER gaming this generation has been plagued by issues unfortunately. If you are willing to roll the dice, this is a lot of laptop for the money. If you have the extra though a Legion 5 for a few hundred more is a lot safer and better laptop all around.
