Grape Nuts is a dense, crunchy cereal that works especially well mixed into Greek yogurt and berries for extra texture. It can also be softened with milk, protein milk, or hot water to make it easier to eat, and the boxes arrived with a Jul 26, 2026 best by date. The price per ounce is roughly in line with Costco's larger package. The main drawback is the hard, gravel like texture when dry, which makes it less appealing for some uses.
Common Questions (4)
Some use Grape-Nuts as a crunchy mix-in for Greek yogurt and berries, while others mention unusual uses like cat litter or winter tire traction. The yogurt use is the practical one for shoppers; it adds crunch without needing much cereal.
Soaking Grape-Nuts in milk for about 10 minutes softens the hard texture and improves the flavor. Another option is to pour boiling water over just enough cereal to cover it, let it stand 3-5 minutes, then add milk and sweetener for a mushy oatmeal-like bowl.
Yes. The per-ounce price is roughly the same as Costco's 64-ounce package at $7.49, so this Amazon deal is competitive rather than a deep discount.
The boxes arrived with a Jul. 26, 2026 best-by date, so the shelf life appears to be long enough for pantry storage.
