Do not use this for actual security. It is not a deadbolt, a strong child could probably boot this in. Also, if you read the products title in Amazon it says interior.

I installed one of these for my door leading into the house from the garage. So far, works very well. Had it installed for about a month and a half. Finger print scan works fairly well once you get used to placement.

Wanted to use this as a front door doorknob with in addition to my deadbolt already in place
