The regular combo was posted recently, but I snagged the Costco refurbished version as it comes with the microsd card.

My $.02: Unless you have your heart set on the PTD1 controller, get that bundle. That's a really good price. But, the peak brightness is only 700 nits, which isn't very bright. If you're not set on the controller, get either bundle and get a phone that has a brighter screen. I got a moto g stylus from total wireless for $40 and I'm pretty happy with that.

Side question: Does anyone have an idea on what possibly the price for the mini 5 pro could possibly be around Christmas? That's when I plan on upgrading.

I did some quick research and it seemed like the PTD1 controller was a nice to have, especially with the brightness issues. People recommended saving the money and using a brighter iPad instead. Or what you suggested.

Might be worth checking but other listing said the "costco bundle" came with an f/2.8 lens vs the standard f/1.8 on all the other kits. I don't see it listed anywhere here so... good luck? If those numbers mean nothing to you, the regular kit shoots a little better in lower light but in daylight both are too fast for smooth motion and so most people will want an ND filter to block the light. The difference really just matters for early dawn and evening shots where the f/1.8 would likely be desired... that's also often when the best images can be captured.
