I doubt it unless it is a small lot.
I got one. Flame is not that big.

What you will wamt to do is get a "propane torch" from harbor freight.
Cost maybe $20.

You hook it up to a 5 gallon propane tank (use your BBQ grill one) and go to town.

That one throws a massive flame. Its fun to play with.

This one is too small. Cool none the less.

This propane torch is best for quick campfires, weed burning, and handy outdoor fire tasks, with enough punch for seasoning a Blackstone and short car camping trips. The compact size makes it easy to use without bending down, and it can even stand in for a bulky stove on minimal setups. The flame is reported as smaller than expected for larger weed jobs, and a defect where it stayed at full blast was fixed through ThermoMaven replacement. The coupon code also needed retries for some checkouts, so it feels like a small, practical fire tool with a few checkout and performance quirks.

Common Questions (5)

  • The code can require multiple retries or page refreshes before it sticks. Hitting Apply again or retrying checkout has gotten it to work, and successful orders came through at a little over $25.

  • It can burn above-ground weeds and is handy for small areas, but it is not a huge flame. For lasting weed control, the weeds need to be cut down so the roots can be burned directly, otherwise they may regrow.

  • Yes, it can start campfires quickly and can be used upright for cooking on short trips. It has been used as a compact alternative to a bulky stove for minimal car camping.

    raptoriusplai7778

  • It is described as a smaller torch with a flame that is not very large, so it is better for small-lot or light-duty use. For a much bigger flame, a Harbor Freight propane torch hooked to a 5-gallon tank was recommended instead.

  • A defective unit that started at full blast regardless of knob position was replaced after sending ThermoMaven an invoice and a photo of the torch. The replacement worked normally afterward.

Delilahboop, when this thing barks off, everyone backs up 3 or 4 steps.
It takes a solid 60 seconds for the first complaint because the fear is stepping on complaint's neck.
You may wish to reevaluate.

These things are an absolute blast. Good for starting camp fires and whatever else you decide to get into.

Genuine question: can this be used to burn weeds in the yard? I saw a video where a guy was using a small blowtorch but didn't link the product. This one looks like it might work for that need. Thanks.

got this thing last time it was on sale and it is 100% for real. Beware. This is a product invented by bored firemen trying to drum up business. Seasoning my blackstone has never been cooler.
