I doubt it unless it is a small lot.
I got one. Flame is not that big.

What you will wamt to do is get a "propane torch" from harbor freight.
Cost maybe $20.

You hook it up to a 5 gallon propane tank (use your BBQ grill one) and go to town.

That one throws a massive flame. Its fun to play with.

This one is too small. Cool none the less.

With the HF one, you don't have to bend down. I have a longer version (not HF) and it's pretty convenient. I'm burning off weeds on the center part of my driveway. I had grass there but having cars parked over it killed all the grass and I filled it with garden stones. So the area I have to cover is not that big.

FYI: cheaper versions of this product can be found on Amazon just by searching for Propane torch. I bought one that looks almost identical to this and works great for a normal price of $15 a few months ago. This is not a deal.

I've used it recently and it certainly burns what's above ground but unless you cut down the weeds so you can burn the roots directly they're just going to regrow.

Just used for a one night trip in Yosemite. Besides quick campfires, we put it upright and cooked with it. This will replace our bulky stove on short trips. Perfect addition to minimalistic car camping
