My understanding is that the game will play fine. You may see words spelled like colour or whatever and if the game had eshop dlc you would need to setup another eshop profile for the EU to buy and download it. Also I think resale could be an issue if you tried to take it into gamestop but honestly for sports i think it would work without any issues if your goal is to just play it and not worry about any dlc (Im not sure if it had any)
