Leatherman has a better warranty, but if you're talking about how it is machined and how the tool works, then it is negligible.
Leatherman still produces a lot of their tools in the US too, but I think Gerber is pretty good at their price points.

IMO Leatherman has better quality and longevity but you pay a premium price. I keep several of these Gerbers in specific places and they have worked great when in a pinch or spur of the moment job comes up.

Literally just looked at my order history, got it for $10 in 2018. That thing got through every flight international and domestic when I accidentally left it on my keys. Then… one trip back from SC the TSA guy had the smuggest look as he told me he needed to confiscate this. I still can't justify it at double the price till this day!

I have pretty much every Leatherman keychain tool including some that aren't in production anymore. They're nice, but the Gerber Dime is the tool that has lived on the keychains for both my vehicles with a spare in the drawer ready to go for the last 6 years. It's just FAR more useful and utilitarian than the Leathermans that IMO are just a little too gimmicky for their size.

Quality wise, the worst I've had happen so far is the rivet for the scissors has gotten loose on one (my fault.. cutting things I shouldn't be cutting) and so now it's hard to make precise scissor cuts.
