For all the 5G questions, it means that this tablet has a cellular radio and you can put a SIM card inside for internet on the go.

I have a Tab A7 Lite and I use one of my free T-Mobile lines in it. It's basically a giant cellphone.

Is there performance difference between the two variant? I thought they 7300 and MT8775 were essentially the same processors

They certainly have made a confusing set of model numbers / specs. They say "Up to 8GB ram" on one of the descriptions, and another says "ram is carrier dependent" but I can't find any version with 8GB of ram.

Thanks, I missed the carrier versions entirely, I honestly thought they were advertising the unlocked 5G versions worked with those carriers, not those were different models available to purchase. Editing my original comment

Does the unlocked not actually have a 5g radio? I planned to throw in a mint sim or google fi data sim and leave it in the car. Also seems dead showing out of stock and back up to $293

No. Must have a cellular chipset to do GPS. Or have a Bluetooth GPS (Dual used to make one) to connect to. The Wi-Fi version will not do GPS otherwise.
