Good available deal for 15-20% less performance vs 5080 at 25% less price.

$1250 5080 (cheapest one) vs $900 here.

oops Microcenter has 5080 for $1150. so this is now $1150 vs. $869. or $25% cheaper

Not as crazy good as $700 bestbuy clearance deal but it is what's available now.

I dunno the difference. They are all the same to me as I never looked into each brand's performance differences

Shit this is 3 full slots. Not sure if this will fit as a 2nd GPU. Clearance will be super damn tight lol

Gigabyte typically uses cheap heatsinks and sleeve type fans on their GPU's to cut cost, so the fans are nowhere near as durable and they tend to run hotter compared to other Nvidia OEM's.

Yah I might be trying too hard with the GPU stacking in such a small space.

This is how it looks today with 5080 and a 5060 TI under it now. While the 5070 TI will "Fit" it may be hitting the audio cable and literally the fan be 2mm away from the bottom of the case interior and right above the PSU. LOL. This setup today running both GPU at 100%, only used 780 W peak so plenty of room right now.

I wanted to stack a 5090 but there's def not gonna fit. I was calculating the power and that could be dicy even if I upgraded to 1200 Watt (from 1000)

Also got a funny DM, said I am in every 50X0 threads and he hates me and loves me for it. I think cuz I am making him weak and wanting to buy gear. lol

you're not gonna be stacking anything modern on a consumer grade board. Only way to realistically do this is running a long riser for the 2nd gpu and using a custom bracket to vertically mount it like its a radiator towards the front. Honestly a build like that sounds fun af..

They both run today just fine. I did mainly checked power beforehand and monitored it. Seems to be performing well but I didn't check the time after thousand images to see if they deviate but seems to run ok. 5060 TI is weak sauce with the much slower memory lane but better than an 8GB card before. I want to get it to 5070 TI for closer to 5080 performance. Just for fun, not really need to squeeze that much performance but more of a I just wanna play with it setup.

YesI. was gonna try that but now I am thinking I can where AIO Radiator could be. It would need a longer riser card lol. I've been tinkering and it is kind of fun after so many years not wanting to touch any PC parts but I need Nvidia so I'm getting dirty.

I did get a riser to mount it vertically in front of the 5080 but this case is a little narrow. Might be a tight fit too but I will play with it. Need to get the vert kit for the case too. Will try and see.

I just wanted to make this single 5080 machine more useful by adding another GPU, by itself is pretty gimped on VRAM and processing power.

I ordered an Open Air frame also, I might try it there for more airflow and mounting options but the riser card I got def isn't long enough to bring it away too far. See attached pic! I think it looks cool. I wanted to try this and make it a good looking piece on my desk.

I saw some tubers stacked 4 GPUs - special motherboard and power and didn't leave any room for air either. Idk, probably not good long term. Smilie

Still go with 5080 if I can because in the history of GPU, I almost never got perf/price ratio close to equal between the 80s and 70tis. Usually the more preimium tier you go, the less perf/price ratio you get.

Well yes. Especially if 5080 is the same 16GB vram. If it was 24gb it would go a lot farther 5090 is a world it difference above 5080. Almost 3x more expensive and the 32GB VRAM does it can do more but maybe not 3x performance ratio

They're pretty much all the same. They have specs to follow after all. SFF will probably have a smaller heatsink, meaning it'll probably run the fans slightly faster, meaning louder. But for the most part, you probably won't notice the difference.
