I've been exercising more and swimming at my apartment and imo this is still out of my budget. Bluetooth doesn't work under water though but there are cheaper "knockoff" versions of these on Amazon is the price is too high.

Night and day experience. I've got a decade-old SwiMP3 and I hate getting into the pool without it. Between being able to queue up a nice playlist (bonus if you can time your sets and cadence) and having a smartwatch do my lap counting it really helps make pool time fly by. If I forget them or forget to charge them, I'm 50/50 whether I'll just get back on my bike and ride home instead of doing laps without it.

I'm curious about the quality of sound compared to something like the SwimP3. I've got a Shocks set I use with my office phone and they're way better quality than the SwimP3. The old set I have for the pool is very, very low fidelity - I couldn't, for example, listen to a book. I'd spend the money if these are good enough for something like that.

I don't know about the swimP3 or even this version of the Shokz openswim. I have the Shokz Openswim Pro and they're better than my in-ear buds style mp3 by miles. I was pretty skeptical but everyone said they liked it so I got a pair. The in-ear buds I have lack bass and even treble so audio is just loud but no clarity. The Shokz is much better in that sense. Few things though:- wear ear plugs. Sound quality gets dramatically better.- Bluetooth doesn't work under water. Not just the shokz, that's just how bluetooth is.Lemme know if you guys want more info
