Amazon Haul is being used as a gamble on cheap household basics, brand names, and random filler items, with the extra 50 percent back making some carts feel close to half off. The best finds are the low prices on things like Charmin, toilet paper, camping dishes, and occasional authorized brand items, and the gift card credit appears to arrive after delivery for some orders. The main friction is that eligibility is hard to verify, checkout often gives no clear promotion signal, and Haul pricing can be messy or inflated. A workable option if you are willing to hunt and keep screenshots.
Shoppers filling a cart with household staples and cheap extras, because the promotion can make toilet paper and other basics effectively much cheaper.
Checkout often does not show a clear promotion line, even for items picked from the promo page. The banner may only mention that digital items are excluded, so some orders are placed without obvious confirmation that the gift card will apply.
The gift card credit can post automatically after the order is completed, sometimes without any email at first. Some buyers later received an email titled "You got a gift card from Amazon Haul," and customer service was able to issue the credit when contacted.
The promotion is treated as risky because eligibility is hard to verify and returns may jeopardize the credit. The deal also has a "while supplies last" limit, so keeping screenshots and checking support is a practical safeguard.
The promo can appear as a running yellow banner near the top of Haul, and no separate activation is needed. Checkout may still not clearly show the gift card, so the banner is the main visible indicator.
Use the Haul promotion page and search by brand or specific item, then apply filters and sort options to cut through the junk. A direct Haul node link also works for the "brand scores" category.
I placed an order during the promo and haven't heard anything yet regarding the GC balance/ credit. My order arrives tomorrow. TBD if I'll see anything once that happens, or if they're truly making us wait 30 days.
Havent seen anything on my end and got delivery on 7/1. Dont really like these credit after the fact deals but hopefully it comes through soon!
I complained to customer service and uploaded a screen shot of the promotion. They issued a refund credit my card after I told them that I was not interested in a gift certificate credit. I have over $100 in giftcard credit, but I no longer trust Amazon for large purchases or refunds.

man whats up with these after the fact credit deals? there were other ones during Prime Days that didnt come thru either and thinking ppl probably forgot. Is that amazon play here? Just credit that dang things once delivery is completed!
I still havent seen mine from this deal and will need to contact again for it!

Hence the reason why I use my credit card, to have the option to file a dispute. Using Amazon's money, means we are at their mercy for replacing, refunds, for damaged goods, defective products, price changes or failure to honor their promotions.
I just put on my calendar July 26 which is 30 days. No need to contact customer service before then. Yes, they will probably refund/credit you no questions asked, but then there's a chance they will be less amenable in the future.

is this through experience from a previous, similar deal? just gauging how dependably they follow thru on these?

Shoppers filling a cart with household staples and cheap extras, because the promotion can make toilet paper and other basics effectively much cheaper.
Deal hunters willing to compare brand-name listings, because filtering by brand or item can surface rare authorized items at steep discounts.
People buying low-cost camping dishes or random utility items, because the sale can cut half off items they already planned to use.
Shoppers comfortable hunting through a messy catalog, because the lowest prices can be buried and require extra searching to find.
People who need a reliable post-purchase credit, because the gift card can arrive late, short, or require follow-up with support.
Shoppers who need clear eligibility at checkout, because the promotion can show only a vague banner and never confirm whether items qualify.
Buyers who want predictable pricing, because product-page prices can change in cart and discounts are hard to attribute to each item.
Shoppers who need strong protection on damaged or defective items, because using store credit can leave less recourse if a purchase goes wrong.
