This is $1 for 100 points so $10 for 1,000 points vs $1.00 off gas @ 35 gallons is $35 . It's great for extra points but I wish they would up the points to maybe $2 per 100

their points system still sucks. I do 80% or my grocery shopping at Kroger but still manage to get at lest 5x the rewards value at meijer. kroger points are only worthwhile once you get over a multiple of 100, so 100 points is the same as 199, etc. they reset at the end of the month, and you can't carry over points. while you have basically 2mo to redeem them, they don't stack so if you have 185 points in may and 160 in June you can get $1 off for each month, or 0.10¢ at the pump on two separate fillups.

1) You get double points Fri, Sat, Sun.
2) Boost (premium) members get 2x-3x points. Plus delivery (I've never used). Plus an annual streaming subscription. Cost is ~$100 but often offer a discount of $49. 3x points pays for itself quickly, without streaming perk.
3) Round up to the next 100 pt increment by buying a gift card. Often offer a 4x pts GC coupon. Often offer 200 bonus pts on certain GC's (Popeye's, Dominos, Arby's, etc.)
4) Redeem the max points (up to 1,000/$1) on one fill-up (35 gal max). Invest in gas cans. $1/gal discount = $35 savings.

Every single receipt has a survey, you can do one per week for 50 points.

My gas cans and shake siphon have paid for themselves multiple times over in the last decade. The points for groceries are nice for non-drivers, but if you use the gas it's a substantially better value.

If you're planning on buying gift cards to top up to 1000 (or to the next 100) remember that Amazon is only 2x points during 4x promos, and variable value Visa cards qualify for ZERO points, regardless of the promotion (I found that out the hard way).

Also, remember that Kroger gives 3c off gas for card holders, so the first 100 points is really only worth 7c off (you don't double dip on the 3c).

There is very little difference for those who have vehicles that can only take a third of that amount of gas at one time. The fuel rewards have always favored people that have large gas tanks.

As the other guy said, buy 3 or 4 five gallons gas cans, plus I usually try to gas up the same time as my wife so its not hard to max out the 35 gallons.

This is a nice option for those who don't buy gas. All my points were expiring previously, yesterday I was able to redeem points that were set to expire June 29

We used to bring both our cars to fill up to get the max 35 gallons. My husband now drives a car that takes premium so we fill the gas cans for his. Boost membership has a lower price tier without the streaming as well since we get those channels cheaper through student discount.

if you call customer service they will do a carry over at least once per year. We have utilized this on months where we had over 4,000 points and couldn't spend them all. Pretty sure it's only once per year tho so we give them to friends if we have extra.

Sometimes they do have personalized promotions for points on those cards.

I'll write in if I didn't get it but it takes them over a week to respond so if you're close to the end of the month, be ready to buy something if you're trying to get to 1000

And don't forget bag points. 5 points per bag and they typically give me more points than actual bags used.
