I would AVOID this turntable if you have any serious plans of upgrades later. the stylus is the only up-gradable part on this, and with a tip weight of 3.5grams which is excessive since most good turntables run between 1.5 and 2.5 grams at the tip. the caveat of this being that if you upgrade the stylus to a better needle, it then becomes a skipping machine. the included conical tip needle is the best you can get with this set up. when you start upgrading to better needles, they track differently in the record grooves and will either damage the vinyl or just skip horribly. so if you get this, I hope you like how it sounds out of the box, because that is as good as it will ever get. there is no adjustable counterweight, no anti skate tracking nothing. you get one preset heavy stylus setting and live with it. this is just an upscaled Crosly cruiser with a better brand name on it.
