This MacBook Air M5 deal stands out for the 16GB and 1TB configuration at $1,149.99, with Midnight, Sky Blue, and Starlight still showing at that price. The 1TB setup is treated as a well rounded option, and the extra storage is viewed as worth the roughly $200 step up from lower capacity models. Costco is also cited as a close alternative with all four colors, a second year warranty, and lower AppleCare pricing. The main caution is that Apple pricing has been climbing quickly, so the deal may not last long.

  • Buyers who want a high-storage MacBook Air before prices climb, because commenters saw the same configuration jump sharply across retailers.

    SmilingWallaby999Elon69MaroonClub505

  • Power users storing large photo or video libraries, because 1TB leaves room to keep extra files without immediately needing external storage.

    TimothyBMaroonClub505

  • Shoppers comparing premium laptop configurations, because the 1TB model is viewed as a well-rounded setup with a higher-core processor.

    mankuTimothyB

  • People choosing a MacBook Air with warranty coverage, because Costco's version includes a second year warranty and AppleCare can be added or cancelled.

    mokiavelliAegg

  • Shoppers who only need basic storage, because a 512GB configuration is available at a lower price.

    mokiavelliMaroonClub505

  • People who want the cheapest MacBook Air configuration, because lower-priced 13-inch and 512GB options were mentioned as alternatives.

    mokiavelliMaroonClub505

  • Buyers expecting the 1TB model to feel identical to lower-storage versions, because the processor is different and the performance gap may be noticeable.

Just placed the order. This deal is crazy, considering the 16GB/1TB variant is $1,600 plus taxes.

Costco online has all 4 colors for the same price, plus you get the 2nd year warranty included. Apple Care is $160 more (vs $200). For those without the membership, even paying the $65 membership almost justifies the extra year of warranty or the savings of Apple Care. Plus the 90 day return policy.

And if you only need 512 SSD, it's $949 in Starlight.

don't you just get the 2nd year warranty as a Costco warranty?
