This MacBook Air M5 deal stands out for the 16GB and 1TB configuration at $1,149.99, with Midnight, Sky Blue, and Starlight still showing at that price. The 1TB setup is treated as a well rounded option, and the extra storage is viewed as worth the roughly $200 step up from lower capacity models. Costco is also cited as a close alternative with all four colors, a second year warranty, and lower AppleCare pricing. The main caution is that Apple pricing has been climbing quickly, so the deal may not last long.

Common Questions (5)

  • Yes. Midnight, Sky Blue, and Starlight were still showing at $1,149.99 without AppleCare at the time of the comments. The deal appears to be live across at least those color options.

  • The 16GB/1TB configuration was described as about $1,600 plus tax elsewhere, making $1,149.99 a large discount. The 1TB model was also noted as a $200 step up over a lower-storage option, which some considered reasonable.

  • Costco was cited as having all four colors at the same price, plus a second-year warranty included and a 90-day return policy. It was also mentioned that AppleCare costs about $160 more there, and the 512GB model was listed at $949 in Starlight.

  • Yes. The 1TB version was noted as having a 10-core processor instead of 8 cores on the lower-storage model. That difference may matter for performance, but the comments do not confirm how noticeable it is in everyday use.

  • AppleCare+ can be added, and one comment says it can reportedly be cancelled for a prorated amount. That makes it easier to try the coverage without being locked in if you later change your mind.

Glad I could snag one macbook air m5 during memorial day at costco for $1285 24gb ram 1tb ssd version. I knew that was the time to pull the plug as Apple's stocking up ddr5 inventory is not unlimited and once its depleted, the price will be in even crazy like in windows market. Blame Ai for this crazy demand guys,

I do think the government should step in and investigate this price gouging, look at Micron, samsung and sdk, their revenue has gone up like 4 times every last quarters! They're all ripping off the consumers like us

The processor on the 1TB is a little different...10 core instead of 8 core.
I have no idea what that means and if the difference is noticeable!

I wanted the 24GB RAM and 512GB SSD model, but I couldn't find one. Apple had also increased their prices, so I just bought this one

How'd you get it for $1285? I thought it was $1350.

Bought this last night after seeing the 13 inch version for $950 go out of stock everywhere at that price. $200 for 512gb extra on MacBook seems reasonable, even if I don't immediately need that space. Wonder how long it will take before people actually willingly pay the $1600 on Apple's site.

The real deal here is the sky blue 24 GB / 1 tb version with applecare+ for $1648.
Most definitely, just cancelled my Costco 16GB/1TB order for the 24GB/1TB variant here. The AppleCare+ from what I read can be cancelled as a prorated amount.

How much is the prorated refund if I were to cancel it relatively soon after receiving the MacBook?

Whatever it is, it's prorated to Apple account or gift card. Not cash.
