I have the very similar s340. It's not horrible, but it's bad enough that I'm probably not going to buy anything from Eufy ever again.
I've heard good things about Reolink. That's where I'll look If I need another cam.

Can you expand on why it's so bad please? I have a few hardwired Eufy cams and they seem to work well. I am also considering adding a couple solar ones.

My s340 almost never loads the list of recorded events... it just keeps trying & trying... forever.
My workaround is to watch of few seconds of the live feed first, then go back, & click on the events icon. Which then usually loads.

Do you have a Eufy hub? It's implied that it'll help with this problem.

IR light / cam is useless because it records several events per minute of... flying dust and sometimes insects (nothing that I can see or feel when I'm outside at night).
Finding 'real' events then requires sorting thru hundreds of 'dust events' per hour.
[Pro: the s340's very good low light capability, combined with a nearby street light, makes this less of an issue. Although the recordings of people walking by at night sometimes become slightly transparent... like ghosts.]

Eufy customer support always sound like the nicest guys on the planet. Sympathetic & really, really want to help.
But when it comes down to actually doing anything, they become expert apologists & gas lighters.

My next solar powered cam will hopefully have the ability to record one frame per 1, 5, or 10-seconds -- giving it a quasi 24/7 recording capability (with this timelapse-like option). And also 2 side-by-side cameras so it'll show my entire street on one image. Panning cams are nice (with 270-deg view at a corner of my house... but it can't see/show/record what's happening elsewhere, when it has rotated to another angle.

I have a few going right now and find them to have overall good video quality but my issue is that they're all encrypted and on a good day take several minutes to load. This is, under no circumstances, meant to be an emergency system that can quality load someone entering your property.

Good deal! I canceled my $109 order of this (non-refurb) from amazon prime day. Almost got 2 thanks to the savings, but decided to actual save the $30 instead.

Yes but I believe you need the home base to do that, which is a little home server.
