Just get Xreal Air 2 Pro for $249 or refurbished for $200. It has wider FOV (absolutely the most important thing), electrochromatic dimming, and 120Hz support.

but honestly the product category is moving so fast you should really think for a second. This product does not have 3DOF tracking for the virtual screen … only newer products do, and this is very important to present a convincing virtual display. This product has an FOV of 43 degrees. XReal Air 2 Pro mentioned above has 46. Newer Xreal One has up to 56. Upcoming XReal Aura later this year has 70 degrees FOV. This makes a huge difference. Yes, all these glasses advertise they can present you a huge virtual screen but it's the FOV that actually makes that meaningful (a large virtual screen experienced from far away is not meaningfully better than a small screen)

I'm not sure what is meant by 180 stereo in this context but Xreal One and recent glasses from Viture have built in "anchor mode" that fixes the virtual display in space using 3DOF. Some older models can do this but require an external accessory. I have heard the Viture glasses have a problem with drift in this mode but they may have improved / resolved this since. The Xreal One models also have an optional Xreal Eye camera module which expands this to 6DOF … very cool but since you're likely using the product standing in one spot it's not as essential as 3DOF. Upcoming products like Xreal Aura will do 6DOF built in. This is what I mean when I say the product category is moving super fast … in the timespan of two years we've gone from features like 3DOF requiring external accessories to upcoming products having 6DOF completely built in.

Where would you suggest buying these from? I don't see them listed on Amazon.

In the case of Xreal you can get them straight from manufacturer as an option (Xreal.com). That's what I did (but full disclosure I sold them and plan to upgrade to Xreal Aura later this year)

I'll probably hold out to do the same as it seems this technology is rapidly advancing. Thanks for the info!

Yes. XReal Aura is going to be super expensive. But yeah, probably within a year or two there will be cheaper glasses comparable. I think that XReal One line is quite good and meets the bar to actually give you a portable big screen experience, which is truly something awesome, but having used it a lot I'm satisfied that I got to experience the technology and look forward to the next evolution.

Right now I'd say the top-of-the-line experience is similar to having a 70" TV from two meters away, but the upcoming products will be more like having a portable cinema experience, and then, who knows ... in a few years it could rival the immersion of IMAX. This is a product that I believe every human being on earth will want.
