I've had the Segway ZT3 Pro for about a year and it has been a great scooter. No big issues. I occasionally need to tighten the stem, and regularly need to fill the tires. It does good on moderate hills but it does not achieve its stated incline ability on really steep hills. I live in Seattle on top of a steep hill so I have to go up an alternate route which works fine.

Expect real world range with stop and go to be closer to half what is listed. If I am in sport mode, gunning it, and going up and down hills, I probably only get 25% of the stated range. If I am on a smooth bike trail and put it in a cruise control at 16 mph, I can get about 75% of the range. The only way you are going to get close to 100% of the range is in eco mode going like 9 mph.

For Seattle, I find the 25 mph to be vastly superior to the rental lime scooters which stop at 16 mph. The reason is that for non-major arterials, I can ride in the middle of the lane without slowing down cars behind me as opposed to the skinny bike lane on the right hand side and risk a parked car opening it's door.

The Segway app is excellent and you can enable things like regen breaking. It also does fairly regular firmware upgrades which are actually useful, although you will hear people complain because sometimes the upgrades change things like reduce acceleration but for the benefit of something else.

I do recommend that you change the charging capacity to 80% in the app because that is a lot healthier for the battery. If I'm doing a longer ride, then I will charge it to 100%.

Also, it is not good to charge a hot battery directly after a ride, so within the Segway app, while you can't set a charging delay, you can set the charging time so I set mine to charge between midnight and 7:00 a.m. because I know I won't be using it then.

Overall, I have been very happy with Segway.

I have this scooter and it's great for commute. I'm 5"6, 140lb. The torque and max speed is more than adequate for daily riding. The suspension eats up uneven pavements, making your ride very smooth. There's little things, too, that add to the experience. You can unlock your scooter with the app, the folding mechanism is practical, and there are accessory ports in case you want to add upgrades. All said, I spent 850 on this scooter last month and it's a great investment for my daily commute. Just make sure you check the laws in your area.

I've had this for about 2 years now. I bought this at the launch. It's been fantastic and I've no complaints. I'm 6ft 245lbs and scooter feels solid carrying my weight. I took a nasty drop few months ago not paying attention and hitting the curb. The scooter shook it off like nothing happened. It's been riding exactly the same as before and have barely any scratches. It's a solid choice at this price.
