14g cord isn't going to handle big tools nor a few small one getting used at the same time. Overall it is a good concept, but should be a 12g at least. Likely Harbor Freight will copy with a heaver gauge cord. I have there 25' 10g triple tap line and use it a lot.

"Big tool(s)" shouldn't be running off extension cords (as a general rule), let alone splitters...ever. The concept of this item is perfectly fine if used correctly.
