The KC2 is a premium Washlet that stands out for heated-seat comfort, strong cleaning, and built-in odor control. The attached side controls are preferred over a remote, and the deodorizer is described as an active carbon system that works well when the cartridge is replaced about once or twice a year. The main hesitation is price, since cheaper bidet attachments and the tankless S2 offer slimmer design, adjustable wand position, and extra features for more money. It reads as a comfort upgrade with real convenience, especially if heated seating and odor control matter.

Common Questions (4)

  • Yes, the heated seat alone is enough for some buyers to consider it worth it. The KC2 also adds on-demand hot water, a night light, deodorizer, and attached side controls, which some prefer over a remote.

  • It uses an active carbon filter with a fan to pull odor air through the unit, rather than masking smells with perfume. The cartridge typically needs replacement about 1-2 times per year.

  • The S2 is described as the better value for the extra money because it is tankless, has a slimmer profile, saves energy, and includes an adjustable wand position. It also adds EWater+ wand sanitization and a programmable LED light.

  • The KC2 may feel weaker than manual bidets if you want a strong blast, since heated electric models can have less pressure. Manual attachments are described as much stronger, while the KC2 is still preferred for comfort and convenience.

Bought a toto bidet a few years back and will never go back to TP. Then Costco discontinued the one I bought and updated it to the one with the remote. I like how the controls are attached to the seat and not a remote that requires batteries. Picked one up for my other bathroom. Thanks!

I duct taped my water pick to my toilet seat to save a few bucks! But seriously if you're on the fence, start with a basic cold water bidet. I got one on a SD for I think $40 and it's amazing. Saves time and money with less toilet paper and the cold water isn't as bad as I thought it would be.
Werd. I'd go so far as saying it's refreshing, especially after eating Mexican.

continue to be tempted by electric bidets as someone with a $30 cold one
They're worth it, even if only for the heated seats

There is no deodorizer on the planet that could do that. What you'll be smelling is poop plus deodorizer.
These deodorizers aren't just a perfume spray that hides the smell, they're more like an air filter. They suck in the smelly air with a fan and pass it through a carbon filter to filter out the poop particles.

And TOTO is the elite toilet brand--and priced accordingly. Meanwhile, I'll get by with my American Standard toilet outfitted with a LUXE Bidet Neo 185, which cost $45.
Thank you for your comment! Bought the Luxe because of it. I installed it today. 👍

Thats true, but the water sitting in the line is good enough. If you need to run it much longer, which usually isn't necessary. When the actual cold water comes, it can be uncomfortable.
Funny, here in FL the water in the line is colder from the air con than the water from outside.
