The KC2 is a premium Washlet that stands out for heated-seat comfort, strong cleaning, and built-in odor control. The attached side controls are preferred over a remote, and the deodorizer is described as an active carbon system that works well when the cartridge is replaced about once or twice a year. The main hesitation is price, since cheaper bidet attachments and the tankless S2 offer slimmer design, adjustable wand position, and extra features for more money. It reads as a comfort upgrade with real convenience, especially if heated seating and odor control matter.

  • The Washlet KC2 can provide a heated seat experience that makes daily use more comfortable.

  • The deodorizer feature can reduce odor by pulling in air and filtering it through carbon.

  • The deodorizer can work well when the carbon cartridge is replaced about once or twice yearly.

  • The attached side/seat controls can avoid remote battery hassles during operation.

  • The deodorizer claim can be overstated because odor control may still leave poop smell present.

  • The deodorizer can become noticeably ineffective during power loss until users adjust to the smell.

  • Electric bidets may struggle to match manual bidet pressure, especially with heated-tank designs.

  • The KC2 price can feel excessive compared with bidet attachments that cost around $20.

A bidet is an elite home purchase. I'll never go back now.

I think the S2 is the better buy at $348 you get the tankless water heater which leaves a slimmer profile and saves energy. Also the wand position is adjustable which is nice.

And TOTO is the elite toilet brand--and priced accordingly.
Meanwhile, I'll get by with my American Standard toilet outfitted with a LUXE Bidet Neo 185, which cost $45.

I have the S2 and better choice for the extra amount you paid: Tankless aka slimmer, EWater+ wand sanitization, and LED light (can be programmed to be off at certain time intervals). Hope this helps. Happy cleaning

+1 on the S2. It also has a self-cleaning feature for the wand which keeps it spotless.

I duct taped my water pick to my toilet seat to save a few bucks!
But seriously if you're on the fence, start with a basic cold water bidet. I got one on a SD for I think $40 and it's amazing. Saves time and money with less toilet paper and the cold water isn't as bad as I thought it would be.

lol, its so stupid how weird some people are about these. I bought one for my parents, offered to install it for them and its just sitting there in their house in the box for almost a year now. Wish I hadnt wasted the money on them, thats what I get for trying to be a good son.

I own a Toto C5 ($400+) and a Tushy 2.0 (~$60)
It's a nominal difference in quality... I'm in FL so my "cold" water is always lukewarm.

If your water is actually ice cold, that might be worth the upgrade, but it's not worth almost 400 more to me.

Thats true, but the water sitting in the line is good enough. If you need to run it much longer, which usually isn't necessary. When the actual cold water comes, it can be uncomfortable.

There is no deodorizer on the planet that could do that. What you'll be smelling is poop plus deodorizer.

Thanks, agree 100%. We got one around Christmas time on a deal for ~$345 and absolutely love it. Just bought another for the downstairs bathroom:

We prefer the attached controls vs the remote on the S5. Otherwise, it has almost all the bells and whistles like heated seat, on-demand/continuous hot water, night light, deodorizer, etc.
