The KC2 is a premium Washlet that stands out for heated-seat comfort, strong cleaning, and built-in odor control. The attached side controls are preferred over a remote, and the deodorizer is described as an active carbon system that works well when the cartridge is replaced about once or twice a year. The main hesitation is price, since cheaper bidet attachments and the tankless S2 offer slimmer design, adjustable wand position, and extra features for more money. It reads as a comfort upgrade with real convenience, especially if heated seating and odor control matter.

  • The Washlet KC2 can provide a heated seat experience that makes daily use more comfortable.

  • The deodorizer feature can reduce odor by pulling in air and filtering it through carbon.

  • The deodorizer can work well when the carbon cartridge is replaced about once or twice yearly.

  • The attached side/seat controls can avoid remote battery hassles during operation.

  • The deodorizer claim can be overstated because odor control may still leave poop smell present.

  • The deodorizer can become noticeably ineffective during power loss until users adjust to the smell.

  • Electric bidets may struggle to match manual bidet pressure, especially with heated-tank designs.

  • The KC2 price can feel excessive compared with bidet attachments that cost around $20.

There is no deodorizer on the planet that could do that. What you'll be smelling is poop plus deodorizer.
I will say it helps alot. I have a toto c5, worth it for me.

And TOTO is the elite toilet brand--and priced accordingly. Meanwhile, I'll get by with my American Standard toilet outfitted with a LUXE Bidet Neo 185, which cost $45.
While I put Toto above everything else, I haven't found a good electric Bidet that has pressure to compete with manual binders. Probably due to heated tank they dont have enough pressure. I bought a Lux manual Bidet as well for spare bathroom, man, you better be ready for the blast. That has crazy pressure.

I thought that too until I got a Toto. Their deodorizer is a carbon-based neutralizer. When we lose power I feel like I'm dying in the toilet room just because I'm not used to smelling the smells.

I'm a Toto zealot but I'm sure other brands have similar capabilities.

You can get a bidet attachment for any toilet for around $20 so this seems like overkill

lol, its so stupid how weird some people are about these. I bought one for my parents, offered to install it for them and its just sitting there in their house in the box for almost a year now. Wish I hadnt wasted the money on them, thats what I get for trying to be a good son.
Sounds like what's needed here is a healthy dose of therapy. Great value for the money!

Even if mine smells like roses? That's what I tell my wife (not that she agrees).

Thanks, agree 100%. We got one around Christmas time on a deal for ~$345 and absolutely love it. Just bought another for the downstairs bathroom:

We prefer the attached controls vs the remote on the S5. Otherwise, it has almost all the bells and whistles like heated seat, on-demand/continuous hot water, night light, deodorizer, etc.
Why do you prefer the attached?

You only tried to be a good son. A good son would have just install it.

if deodorizer has a "pine" perfume - then it will smell like somebody took a shit under a Christmas tree

It's an active charcoal deodorizer not a scent and it actually works amazingly well as long as you change the cartridge 1-2 times a year.
