No, I'm selective. I think the other aspect here is, many people have joined WMT+ in recent months due to deals for the membership posted here. The free shipping on these very useful and reasonably priced items that someone isn't likely to drive to Walmart for do make these a deal, given gas has been $4 a gallon recently.

Amazon can't typically touch these items and prices unless there's a promo code and often times they are PRIME ONLY deals. Here + gets free shipping and if someone doesn't have it, they are made aware of it and can get free pick up at least. There is no such option at Amazon, you'd have to spend $35 to avoid a ship charge w/o prime.

You're entitled to your opinion on this, but the upvotes and response to the cheapo Walmart items (even if regular price) tells me many do think it is a deal. It's in the eye of the beholder I suppose.

You are rationalizing it too hard. In summary, what you are saying is that you are advertising for them because people here "may not be aware such a supposedly deal price item exists in walmart." That's sometimes aka infomercial.

My concern was the core purpose of this site like it used to be...... deal....an exciting deal that has been knocked down to one of the lowest rockbottom prices that cant be had elsewhere or close to it for what the item is. .... that's all.

I understand, but like anything, things evolve and change. Honestly, if it wasn't for the free Walmart+ shipping, I wouldn't mess with these cheap everyday items. I honestly think free shipping is a 'deal' in itself when you're at a very low price point. My closest Walmart is 8 miles away, about 15 minute drive. 1/2 a gallon of gas and at least 30 minutes RT drive time + the time at the store. Some items I've posted I'd never buy for free pick up because the expense and time involved to go get it isn't worth the trouble.

Despite all the disagreements, these mini lanterns are really quite effective for such a small footprint. I have the larger size and they are pretty bright as well.

I just returned this. It is about 4" tall and 4" wide. Very small. The light also refused to stay on for longer than a minute at the brightest setting.
