Any extra coupons to sweeten the deal?
I grabbed a couple. Aren't the 16GB DDR5 modules worth almost the price of the laptop?

They are if you can remove and resell. Otherwise, they only worth it if you need one. It looks like a good deal, no doubt. But, hey, this is SD. Always want something better 🙃

Where is the link

And what's the return policy
Click "Get Deal at Retailer". Link in the post takes to the Hot Deals page without the filter and showed a lot more items other than this Precision laptops. So, I removed it.

Return includes restocking fee. So, review before you purchase.

im not sure which one to get.
One has 32gb ram with nvidia A1000 video card, the other is 16gbram with Nvidia A2000 card.

Anyone have any input? For my kids in middleschool to play games and schoolwork. Maybe some graphic design. Hoping this can last 4 years and keep up with their gaming needs into high school.

I've seen 2.5% cb, can't say where. Amex also has deals with dell often, check your cards and enroll if available.

Hoping to get this for the kids to play Minecraft and learn 3d design/printing. Any opinion on this? Current laptops struggle to run Minecraft on low.

Many on Reddit saying these had major issues with thermals. Anyone know if fixed?

Encouraging your kids to play online games is not good. But you are the parent of your kids. Just my 2 cents.

I've used a bunch of xps 15s and precisions around this gen (including for work). In my experience the i9 thermals are much worse, I recommend the i7. The a2000 is much better than the a1000, but will likely be harder to cool. Would be good to know if these can be undervolted.

I've repadded multiple 5540s and 5560s with ptm7950 and it makes a big difference. Do replace all the vrm pads when doing this.
If these are the 'refurbished by fedex' ones don't expect much was done beyond cleaning.

Got the same specs as OP but Grade B. $569 + tax (didn't get the extended warranty). Is there a major difference between Grade A and B?

Well It's mostly for web browsing, excel, ocasional light gaming (titles like snow runner, forza 5, gta v, simulator mechanic '18), some fusion 360 design not complex models, Slicers for 3d printing, a bit of lightroom, light photoshop. I'm replacing my old trusty laptop lol a lenovo y480 which it has an i7-3610qm/16gb ram, 512 ssd Big Grin Yeah it's still rocking like a champ, but definitely need something newer with way better resolution.

For my needs I think either one will do fine, I have been watching some reviews and those Arc140 igpu's seems to perform very good.
I mean if you are doing all of that on your current machine, this is unquestionably an upgrade. Like, a big one. Either way, if that is the machine you currently use, PLEASE BUY THIS.
