Citizen's Eco-Drive Weekender Garrison is a simple field watch that stands out for low maintenance, solid everyday wear, and a clean 37 to 38 millimeter size. The solar Eco-Drive movement keeps it running with light, and long-term wear holds up well, even in rough settings like kitchens and breweries. The main knocks are the olive nylon strap, which feels cheap and wears out, and the mineral crystal, which scratches more easily than sapphire. It is a practical, set and forget watch with easy strap upgrade potential.

  • Citizen Eco-Drive can run with minimal maintenance because it is powered by light.

    johnyguyCalmNarwhal4134jnyipAnferz

  • The watch can handle everyday rough use while still functioning after years of wear.

    jsf252joeyrodrBagelmaster

  • The watch can provide swim-ready water resistance at 100m for field-watch style activities.

    juanlones1

  • The mineral crystal can be protected from scratching when a screen protector is used.

    GoneDrinking

  • The olive nylon strap can fit poorly and can feel like low-quality band material.

    tjf777thetickzwarezdog

  • The mineral crystal can scratch more easily than sapphire, which can be disappointing for a field watch.

    muybnCalmNarwhal4134juanlones1

  • The olive nylon strap can wear out in about four to five years and may need replacement.

    Bagelmastermamonotaisho

  • The watch can feel thin and may feel cheaper than some alternative watches.

This piece is known to scratch up easily. I like it though. Might be a little cheaper on Jomashop right now. Might be worth paying $10 more on Amazon for the convenience and return policy. Good deal if you're looking for a watch.

Ecodrive is great, powered by light.

I've had this watch for 10 years and it's great. I changed the band, but the watch itself has never needed anything.

Bought this watch from amazon in 2018 for 56 bucks ! I absolutely love it. Mine did get scratched but I wore it in a commercial kitchen with stainless steal to smash it into. Strap is fine not sure why people hate it. Great everyday beater.

Very popular field watch. You can find it for this price or cheaper all the time. Check Walmart and Jomashop instead. My only issue with it is that it's very small and the band sucks. I'd recommend the Timex North Expedition Solar instead. It comes with Sapphire crystal and it's larger, more modern size. It's at $130 right now which is a steal.

I love this watch and would recommend to anybody. I work in a brewery and it has gotten scratched up over the past 7 years but still works fantastic and the scratches don't bother me. I like the band though it only lasts for 4 or 5 years. It's on the smaller side which I like.

Mineral crystal glass which is more prone to scratching. For this price I'd expect sapphire crystal especially on a watch that is ment to get banged up.
you expect too much for this price!!

Got this piece a while back and put a screen protector on it. Bang it up all the time, no scratches on the crystal.

If you're not hung up on mechanical auto, this is nice! Great brand, good looking field style with day/date, plus eco drive is super low (or no) maintenance. As a semi watch snob I would have no problem wearing or complimenting somebody on this watch.
