It should be illegal false advertising to call this WiFi 7... It's only dual band 2.4 and 5ghz. No 6ghz band.

WiFi 7 does not mandate a 6ghz band.

Tell me you don't understand Wi-Fi standards without telling me you don't understand Wi-Fi standards.

And that third frequency you probably don't have any devices that have it anyway so it's redundant

You made me look. Our iPhones and Pixels are connected to 6, but nothing else. Definitely could do without it.

Yeah, it's pretty much only mid range to high-end devices launched the last three or so years. Most of your budget to mid range devices and older devices will not have 6 ghz.

It definitely opens up some higher bandwidth possibilities, but the higher frequencies have more trouble, penetrating walls and floors.

Cellphones and laptops, where we care for speed, are all updated in the last few years and have wifi 6

The average consumer is not connected into the fine details of wifi standards. Selling a 2.4 and 5ghz "wifi 7" system that only really provides MLO on congested bands, in my opinion, false advertising. Wifi 7 is supposed to be better than wifi 6e standard which brought in the 6ghz band. Removing that, as I stated, seems like false advertising
