Liquid Death soda flavored sparkling water stands out as a lower sugar way to scratch a soda itch, with Doctor Death drawing the strongest Dr Pepper comparisons and the cream soda and cola flavors also landing well when chilled. The variety pack gets praise for being refreshing, with Root Beer, lime, and Pina Killada each getting specific love from different flavor lineups. The main knocks are the stevia reformulation, which changed the taste for some, and the coupon or promotion not always appearing or resetting after use. It reads as a solid flavored sparkling water option if the sweetener and coupon quirks do not get in the way.

  • Doctor Death flavor can taste similar to Dr. Pepper while using only 2g sugar via agave.

  • The variety pack can deliver multiple soda-like flavors that taste best when served chilled.

  • Agave-sweetened cans can taste better than stevia versions for some flavor preferences.

  • The deal can be workable when the 35% coupon is visible and available for the order.

  • The 35% coupon may not apply if it was already used earlier.

  • The promotion may fail to show during checkout, which can prevent the discount from applying.

  • Coupon access can be limited because it may be one-time use and not reset after a refunded order.

  • Stevia versions can ruin the flavor for some people who previously liked Liquid Death.

That's what I thought for the longest time until someone handed me the Doctor Death flavor. I've avoided soda for about twenty years because of the high sugar content and diet soda because I can't have sucralose. I saw that it was only 2g of sugar via agave and tried it. Again, I hadn't consumed soda of any kind in twenty years so I was shocked that it tasted very similar to Dr. Pepper. I immediately searched high and low for other flavors, and so far I've tried the Rootbeer and Cream soda varieties. Doctor Death is probably 85% as good as Dr. Pepper with 95% less sugar so it's a win in my book. The cream soda one is about 90% as good, and the Rootbeer disappoints at about 65%. Walmart is the only local store that sells the most flavors, and I haven't tried the cola yet, so that's what I'm picking up here. Don't knock it 'til you try it, especially if you are a frequent soda drinker. All soda is literally "flavored sparkling water".
Rather just buy diet Dr. pepper then. It does not have sucralose.

Speaking of less sugar sodas, I like Poppi especially and some of Ollipop (except strawberry vanilla flavor). Price-wise unless you can grab them on sale then Costco or Sam's the best bet.

Diet Dr Pepper is loaded with sodium while Dr Death has zero.

Don't have coupon but wanted to try it. I guess I will stick to my Diet Coke.

They are legitimately good, but they can't beat a Dr pepper cream soda zero, imo. Cheaper too, generally.

A 1/2 teaspoon of sodium is about 1200 mg. There is ~55mg in one can of diet Dr. Pepper. I would not call that loaded with sodium.
Unless you drink 6 cans a day it doesn't sound like it's much concern to me. Water is healthier of course.

A few months back I was excited to try this, only to be burned by an Amazon delivery issue and while I was refunded, I wasn't able to reorder and the coupon is one time use. You would think Amazon or the company would be smart enough to reset the coupon if the order wasn't delivered and refunded.

I would still drink it if it was called "Lame Soda" and came in plain packaging with just those words.

I have the variety pack. I used the coupon on it. These are not bad. A slight sweetness. Kola, Dr. Pepper clone, root beer, and the lime one. In that order for me but I still enjoy all of them chilled. May buy another at the S&S price or wait for another coupon.
