This Dollar General Coke deal is mainly a cheap way to stock up on 12 packs, with the best value coming from stacking the $5 off $25 coupon and small fillers to clear the threshold. The deal has worked in store and through the app, and some carts have landed around $24 to $26 after tax. Inventory is the biggest hurdle, since stock varies widely by location and exact flavors like Diet Coke or Cherry Coke can be hard to find. Coupon handling can also be finicky, with clipping, phone number entry, and coupon order affecting the final price.
The $5 off $25 threshold can be satisfied by adding a $1 filler item to reach $25 total before discounts.
The deal can work out to about 27 cents per can when the $5 off $25 threshold is met.
The coupon workflow can be completed by loading coupons in the app or website and entering a phone number at checkout.
Some store conditions can improve value, including freezer or cooler items marked 70% off during a remodel.
Store inventory can be inconsistent, with some locations lacking specific 12-pack varieties for the deal.
Coupon redemption can require extra steps like logging in, adding the coupon, and entering a phone number, which may slow checkout.
Coupon stacking may not apply as expected in-store, reducing the discount to about $3 off $25 instead of the advertised $20.
Online or cart checkout can fail, such as a cart appearing empty after selecting multiple Coke Zero packs.
