This CyberPowerPC build stands out as a strong prebuilt value around the Ryzen 9 9900X and RX 9070 XT, especially for a balanced gaming and productivity machine. The case gets praise for its clean look, and the configuration can be customized, with free case color changes, a free Premium Warranty upgrade, and easy swaps like a Crucial P310 SSD or different motherboard and power supply. The main knocks are that the stock SSD and PSU are worth reconsidering, and the 32GB memory limit may feel light for heavier editing or generation work. A flexible base for tuning into a better fit.

Common Questions (4)

  • Yes. The build can be tweaked at checkout, including swapping to a Crucial P310 SSD at no extra charge, choosing a different motherboard such as the MSI Pro B850-VC, and even moving to a 5070 Ti configuration for a relatively small price increase.

  • It can be close to DIY pricing once you add parts like the Ryzen 9 9900X, RX 9070 XT, RAM, storage, PSU, and Windows, with one rough parts list already around $1,800 before case and fans. That makes the prebuilt attractive if you want the convenience of a configured system.

  • Yes, the configuration can reportedly be tweaked into a 9800X3D plus 5070 Ti build for a little over $1,800, and another buyer reported getting a 9900X plus 5070 Ti for $1,788 after parts changes. That makes the platform flexible if you want to shift toward Nvidia or a gaming-focused CPU.

  • Yes. The case color can be changed to off-white for free, and the Premium Warranty upgrade is also free; optional add-ons include removing the mouse and keyboard to save $11 or swapping the mousepad for a Corsair headset option for $5.

The cost of switching to a 5070ti isn't bad if you're looking to build Nvidia.

And I'd second the suggestion above to change the SSD to the Crucial P310 for no cost. The MSI Pro B850-VC motherboard also looks better (Wifi7 and 5Gbps ethernet) and is cheaper.
There are a ton of options to choose from that's for sure.

How expandable is this case in terms of adding SSDs and HDDs? How good is the cooling?

Pulled the trigger on this one while splurged on upgrades to land at $2000+tax
Changed the case color to off-white for free. The upgrade to Premium Warranty is also free. Took off the mouse and keyboard to save $11. If you don't want to gaudy mousepad, there's also a Corsair headset option for $5.

This would be my pick out of all the prebuilt deals I've seen lately. I'd strongly prefer the 9900X over the 9800X3D. Giving up the extra cache and dealing with scheduling on a dual CCD CPU is more than worth it to me to gain 50% more cores and have a much better balanced machine in terms of gaming vs. productivity workloads. And the aesthetic of that case is actually really nice. I'd switch the SSD as others have mentioned, and spend a few bucks on a different ATX 3.1 PSU choice. But a nice deal overall in the current market.

DRAM and NAND pricing is going to keep getting worse before it gets better. Even the next wave of fabs coming online over the next few years are going to be focused on enterprise products (e.g. HBM). Don't expect things to be better in 6 months or a year.

We will either be in a much better place or a much worse place.

Industry experts say things are going to get worse for at least a year and won't even begin to get better for two or three years.

Only chance we have of the cycle being broken is one of these AI companies like Anthropic running out of cash and going bankrupt.

Short of having a crystal ball hidden under your bed, how lucky are you feeling?
