This bundle is mainly a compact 99.2Wh USB power station paired with a 30W solar panel, and the panel is the standout feature. Real-world reports put the panel near 30W in direct sun, around 23 to 24W when aimed well, and much lower in heavy cloud or poor placement. The power station itself is LiFePO4 and USB only, with no AC inverter, which keeps it small and useful for phones, routers, and other low power gear. The free shipping code can be finicky, but browser changes have made it work. A practical pick if you want simple USB backup and solar charging in a small package.

Common Questions (5)

  • In direct sun, it can reach about 24-30W when aimed well at the sun. In cloudy or overcast conditions, reported output drops to roughly 3-7W, with some users seeing around 5W in heavy overcast and about 20W only in lighter cloud cover.

  • Yes. If the coupon does not work in one browser or on the Flat Shipping step, switching browsers can make it apply and let the order go through at $39.99. Chrome was specifically reported to work after Firefox failed.

  • The H100 uses LiFePO4 lithium iron phosphate batteries. The manual confirms this, and that chemistry is often chosen for longer cycle life and better tolerance for storage and temperature swings.

  • No. The H100 is USB-only and has no AC outlet or inverter, so there is no pure sine wave or modified sine wave output to worry about. It is meant for USB/DC charging rather than running AC appliances.

  • It appears to include the solar panel and a USB-C charging cable only, with no wall charger listed. A separate 100W charger is needed if you want to charge it from a wall outlet.

I wonder if you can take it when you travel via airplan?
The last bullet point for features "Airline-approved with a 99.2Wh capacity and compliant with UN38.3 shipping standards, meeting TSA carry-on regulations for batteries under 100Wh"

Make sure to use a short USB C extension cord to relieve stress on the USB C to 7909 adapter. Mine snapped at the USB C plug after a month of use (see attachment). I got a replacement in 2 weeks, but it would be best if you can avoid it altogether.
Mine snapped like this too. Poor design, but an easy $5 fix.

how bad of an idea is it to keep this in a car or truck bed..., i know it will degrade faster. thinking of having it for persistent charging when car is off, or to power some low power devices like mobile internet router or sbc
Got one. My understanding is this battery chemistry is well suited to keep in a car because it can withstand extreme temperature changes, but I'm no chemist. Either way, that's where this little guy is going.

What's the step up from this? Say under $100, what's going to be higher quality, more output, etc?

How much was it through Woot and do you think it's worth it at this $40 price
Same price. I don't have a lot of things to compare it to. After charging it via solar on a sunny day, I used it to plug in a wireless charging pad and used that to charge my phone all week. I mostly got it so I'd have another charging option during our extended power outages caused by storms, which is why this battery chemistry was appealing as it should have a fairly long life.

Does this have an app, or any other way to log the power production ? I'd like to get something like this to assess viability of putting regular solar panel around my property and test what production I could hope to get with orientation, shading during the day etc ...

Excellent deal even though it's only USB
For this size and capacity, no AC inverter is actually a plus. 100W AC inverter functionality requires either a large heatsink (size) and/or fan cooling (size) and usually adds 1+lb in weight. DC to AC conversion is significantly less efficient than DC to DC which means less energy goes to waste (especially when most devices converts that AC back to DC anyway), and most small devices has a way to be DC/USB powered.

I almost bought 2 but realized I have a few 20000-30000mAh USB power banks (equivalent to 74-111Wh) for backup during outages, unattended dashcam/IPcam power, etc. Used Energizer 30000mAh power banks are dirt cheap, often under $20 and some models have PD 30W out (while others are 5V in/out only).

*this battery chemistry* - what battery chemistry is that?

All this wishful thinking. Putting this in the car will degrade the battery, it'll suck.
