These points of failure have to be knocking decades of life off of the saw, so I think it'd be pretty cool to get one that somebody had thoughtfully upgraded as a gift (as the guy from your videos mentioned, he used to give the older saws as gifts because they'd last a "lifetime"). I wish there was a market for this kind of thing because I love making mediocre shit into great shit.
