izzie.real mentioned the sale on the M3 model, but probably mistyped and wrote "I'd rather get the M3 than the M4 iPad Air", and CalmCircle8913 pointed out that they probably meant M2 (from this deal) rather than M4 in their comment. Anyway, it seems like a deal but only because of the recent Apple price hikes. For the casual user on a budget and doesn't need cellular capabilities, the A16 model might be a better value if they can find it on sale for under $300.
I got the M3 for $479 last week. This is my first time with a cellular enabled tablet. Pls note that its eSim only and there is no physical SIM slot. Either I missed it in the spec or was not clearly mentioned in there as I was expecting a physical SIM slot only to not find it after purchase. Nevertheless its pretty easy to convert to eSIM nowadays. Also pls note that for TMobile, we have to use data only SIM otherwise they will block a normal SIM if trying to use as a data SIM in the iPad. There may be other providers where a normal SIM can work in the iPad. May be many of you know this already, but for the uninitiated like me, this info can help.
