I bought a set of these sunglasses last time they were on sale. I use them when I'm hiking or doing something that might damage them. They are a lot more sturdy than I was expecting for being so cheap. Best of all, they are so cheap I don't worry about breaking them.

I wore a pair when I went to the whitewater center in Charlotte a few weeks ago. They survived me bring thrown from and dragged under the raft on class-3 rapids without a scratch.

Do they have a UV400 rating, I would be hesitant to trust a $3.50 pair of sunglasses for extended UV protection.
Polycarbonate is 99% UV protective. Are these lenses actually polycarbonate? Not sure how to test.
They would make a good lake or ocean swimming pair of sunglasses. "Oops, I dropped my glasses and they sank. No worries!"

I bought these once - then bought another 3-set just for backups.

Unbeatable for the cash. They not only work well, but look halfway decent and are obviously cheap enough to not care what happens to them.

I have a dozen pairs of these... mostly because I forget to take them off when getting out of the car, wear them into the house, and then forget to wear them back out to the car. These are, hands down, the best cheap sunglasses I've come across. The lenses hold-up and don't scratch super easily. More importantly, the soft-touch doesn't wear off easily or turn to goo when left in a hot car for days/weeks at a time. I'm going on around 2-years old with some of these, and they're pretty much indistinguishable from the batches that are 1-year or 6-months old. I've also swapped lenses around in a few pairs, and my favorite off-menu combos are navy/silver and brown/green.
