This is the kind of gadget that actually gets used a lot if you cook at home.

Not great to use with knives with thick bolster. Also, it will eat into your knives very quickly. The stones (Spinning) are not replaceable and they do wear out (Mine did).
That said, if you do not really want to invest some time to learn to sharpen knives, it isn't the worst choice.

This is so worth it, make sharpening very easy. Less than what I paid to.

Pair with a hone and strop to keep your edges sharp for longer.

Grabbed the Costco one that's on sale for the same price. Got it last week. My knives have never been this sharp and it's so easy to use.

This was my experience, too. After seeing what a sharp knife was like, I was hooked.
Rather than buy another, I invested in whetstones. They didn't really save me money up front, but I'm set for sharpening the rest of my life so it will pay off in the long run.

I've got the 15 degree. I love it so much that I take it on road trips so I can sharpen people's knives with it.

Would recommend.

Check out a YouTube video that shows what these types of sharpeners do to your knives under a microscope before you decide to purchase this. I'm not saying, don't buy it, but be educated about it.
