Yes, for $3.00, it's worth a shot (not me though). Read reviews. You might get lucky. Probably about 25 years ago, I bought (not Burpee's) wildflower mix online, using some & putting the rest in the freezer, which I forgot about for years and years, then giving to a friend & for years now, the black-eyed susans blossom every dadgum year without much work, just trimming the grass.

I bought this back in Feb, planted them using the instructions on the bag, and not a single one came up.

I'm in a location where they run wild. The road side is teaming with them, and I have a good many that pop up around the yard.

Much of this stuff is comprised of invasive species and please avoid spreading! This is an older article but still relevant today!

They probably will next year. I didn't get this exact mix but I threw a bag into a raised bed and got nothing. Then the next year the bed started to explode in early spring before I even had a chance to plant anything.

I'm not complaining, I'm ordering them now. Planted a large bag of wildflower mix a few months ago. Talked to the seed company and they said Don't expect very many flowers the first year but there are tons and tons of flowers. Only one hasn't flowered because I used a nitrogen rich fertilizer, and that prevents it from producing flowers. Thanks so much for this post!

Came here to report the same experience. Not even worth $1 because it's a bag of coconut husk and dead seeds

Anyone know of a good seed blend that's suitable for 7a, shaded area & has perennials in the mix?

What growing region are you in? February seems REALLY early... unless you're in a warmer state?

I would like to know if it is too late to spread seeds now in July in northern CA. And how to keep the seeds till next early Spring?

I planted English pea seeds that were 2 years old a few months ago and now I am harvesting the peas. Some seeds just never die?
