This HP Omen 45L 5090 build stands out as a customizable way to get Nvidia's flagship card, especially when configured with 16GB of RAM instead of 32GB. Stacking the 16GB option with EPP and the military discount brings the price down to about $3,636 before tax, and the 16GB choice avoids paying for memory that can be upgraded later. The chassis appears to use standard size parts for the power supply and cooler, but HP may still rely on proprietary components, and the motherboard has limited expansion. Delivery can also slip because these are custom builds, so patience may be needed.
Buyers who want to stack employer or military discounts, because the price can fall to about $3,636 before tax.
Gamers chasing a 5090 desktop, because the 16GB configuration drops the price and leaves room to add their own memory later.
Builders who reuse standard ATX parts, because the power supply fits standard size and the cooler and motherboard can be moved into another case.
Owners who keep the system on a UPS, because the default 5600MT/s memory setting can stay stable when the machine remains powered.
People who need trouble-free DDR5 overclocking, because the HP motherboard can fail cold boot at 6000MT/s and may require an RMA.
Shoppers who need a fast replacement, because custom-build orders can slip by weeks before shipping.
Upgraders who need multiple PCIe slots, because the motherboard only provides one slot for a second graphics card.
Buyers who want a fully standard power supply ecosystem, because HP may use a proprietary PSU.

I also swapped the motherboard mATX to mounted it on a diff open air case.
The AIO watercooled cpu cooler also works and standard mobo, nice LCD so I used it on another computer as well. I forgot the brand I read it was from.
Omen Motherboard B850 - I don't like this mobo only because I need more than 1 PCIE slot for a 2nd video card.
