This foam kneeling pad is mainly valued for cushioning long kneeling jobs, from gardening and garage work to plumbing under sinks, tire checks, and even church pews or floor stretching. The extra thickness and larger size make it more comfortable than generic pads, and it also works as a seat cushion or firming support under a recliner. The main caveat is price, since nearby Harbor Freight and Menards options are often cheaper, and the pad is described as squishy rather than solid.

Common Questions (5)

  • It works for any task that keeps you kneeling on hard or dirty surfaces, including gardening, garage work, changing tires, plumbing under sinks, cleaning tubs, and working on cars, ATVs, or trucks. It can also be used as a seat cushion or to firm up a sagging chair or recliner.

  • The Harbor Freight pad is repeatedly described as stiffer and less cushioned, while the Husky pad is described as noticeably softer and more comfortable. This GORILLA GRIP pad is expected to feel closer to the Husky style than the Harbor Freight version, but the Harbor Freight option is cheaper when available locally.

  • It is firm but cushioned, with several comments describing it as softer and more comfortable than Harbor Freight pads. It is not a solid support board, though, and it can feel too squishy if you want something rigid for support.

  • At $12.99, it is considered reasonable by some, but nearby alternatives can be cheaper: Harbor Freight has similar pads for about $5 on sale, and Menards alternatives were mentioned at even lower prices. Shipping can erase the savings if you do not have a local store.

  • The pad can arrive as a solid piece with no visible hole, but there should be a perforated section to punch out if you want the center opening. One purchase used daily for kids' baths for two years and still looked and felt like new, even with frequent water exposure.

I find the husky brand at homedepot to be the most comfortable out of all these kneeling pads
I totally agree with the above comment. I own both the Harbor Freight and the Husky from Home Depot. The Husky is night and day softer and more comfortable than the Harbor Freight. Absolutely worth the $16.88 regular price with free shipping from HD. If you are wondering, it's a very noticeable difference. (clearly, at only $5, the HF model has it's place. Just an FYI that the difference in quality is well worth the extra $10 if you want the coziest kneeling pad. I actually bought the HF model and tossed it in my car for emergencies and use the softer Husky at the house. I also like to use these for working under kitchen sinks since I often need to be upside down and having a pad for my back makes a huge difference on the lip of that kitchen cupboard. iykyk)

I'm going to resell these to churches
Perfect for old hard wooden church pews. Some churches want people to sit on that for 1-2 hrs, and want you to do that 3x/wk. I've often wondered if the pain of hell could be much worse than the pain of those pews

I don't even weigh 100#s, so I reckon I wouldn't even make a dent in most of these.
I want something cushiony, that I won't feel the tile floor. I'm wondering about knee pads - any advice \ comments? Are they more comfortable? T y -

I don't have a HF anywhere near me, and their website is sitting there still trying to load even as I type this. I'm going with the Amazon one.*edit - the website finally DID come up for me. Cost from HF with shipping fees = $14.28, so it's more expensive than this Amazon deal.
Why the F would anyone down vote your researched, informative reply?

This would be great for kneeling in front of the bathtub when it needs cleaned.
Or washing the dogs. My dogs won't come near me when I strap on my kneepads.

The Husky knee pad from Home Depot is perfect for these circumstances. It's awesome. And with 90 day free returns and free shipping, it's a no lose trial effort. As for knee pads, I have 2-3 sets of those as well. The biggest difference with knee pads is how they attach to your knees, do they slide up and down your knee when they are attached and are you constantly re-adjusting them. Both the kneeling pad and knee pads have their place for sure. I have just found that unless I'm locked in, on my knees, doing tile or lvp flooring of some kind, I definitely prefer the flexibility of the kneeling pad. I hope that makes sense. All the best to you! (and, you are correct, at 100 lbs, you will not even dent the Harbor Freight kneeling pad. Honestly, while they were smaller and thinner, I thought I spotted some kneeling pads at Dollar Tree in the garden area. Not a horrible option but I'm 200 lbs so I immediately moved on! lol)

These are great for any activity, work, requiring to kneel on the floor or ground. This is a good deal, as Amazon goes. Yeah, if you're lucky enough to have a Harbor Freight in town, they do go on sale regularly for about $5. I bought first on at Amazon, then discovered them at HF.
