This foam kneeling pad is mainly valued for cushioning long kneeling jobs, from gardening and garage work to plumbing under sinks, tire checks, and even church pews or floor stretching. The extra thickness and larger size make it more comfortable than generic pads, and it also works as a seat cushion or firming support under a recliner. The main caveat is price, since nearby Harbor Freight and Menards options are often cheaper, and the pad is described as squishy rather than solid.

Common Questions (5)

  • It works for any task that keeps you kneeling on hard or dirty surfaces, including gardening, garage work, changing tires, plumbing under sinks, cleaning tubs, and working on cars, ATVs, or trucks. It can also be used as a seat cushion or to firm up a sagging chair or recliner.

  • The Harbor Freight pad is repeatedly described as stiffer and less cushioned, while the Husky pad is described as noticeably softer and more comfortable. This GORILLA GRIP pad is expected to feel closer to the Husky style than the Harbor Freight version, but the Harbor Freight option is cheaper when available locally.

  • It is firm but cushioned, with several comments describing it as softer and more comfortable than Harbor Freight pads. It is not a solid support board, though, and it can feel too squishy if you want something rigid for support.

  • At $12.99, it is considered reasonable by some, but nearby alternatives can be cheaper: Harbor Freight has similar pads for about $5 on sale, and Menards alternatives were mentioned at even lower prices. Shipping can erase the savings if you do not have a local store.

  • The pad can arrive as a solid piece with no visible hole, but there should be a perforated section to punch out if you want the center opening. One purchase used daily for kids' baths for two years and still looked and felt like new, even with frequent water exposure.

Ditto for softball. I usually use an extra glove, but this is more ideal.

Harbor Freight's is the same dimensions (and probably from the same factory) which regularly sells for $7, which is half this thread's product "sale" price. However, HF's is also currently on sale for $5.https://www.harborfreight.com/foa...56572.html
Who thumbs downed this post? Must've bought the gorilla one before seeing this.

This is EXACTLY what I need and until now I didn't know they made this - lol.

I often need to kneel to take the truck's tire pressures and since I wear shorts or don't want to kneel on the dirty concrete I've been using an unused lawn-and-leaf bag. I also do yard work requiring kneeling and don't want my bare knee on the wet grass/dirt/bugs/glass shards (some come up from time to time, I think the builders dumped their refuse in the yard and moved dirt over it back in 1968).

Thanks! worship

I see complaints in the reviews about how firm it is. For what it's worth, I bought this pad last year and it's excellent. Similar price

I hate this so called 50% off things that Amazon items get. This item hasn't cost more than $19 in the last year. It's bounced around at about $15 this entire time, but I guess a few bucks off is still technically a deal.

The Harbor Freight one is pretty darn stiff (you can't even really squish it with your fingers), so depending on the application, it kinda sucks if you're expecting it to be soft. Still better than kneeling on the ground, but it's NOT soft. I'm a few months out from a knee replacement and I can't kneel on the Harbor Freight one, but I can on the Husky one from Home Depot. I would imagine this is much closer to the consistency of the Husky one than the HF one.

Nice! I'll grab it next time I'm by a HF. Too bad closest one is like 45 mins away
The HF one is crazy stiff compared to these nicer ones, just so you know what you're getting into. They're so different I would hesitate to even call them comparable products. They both have their place, but they are not even close to the same thing.
